Minecraft 1.5 has been released today. This looks to be a great update which adds a lot of new content to the game. However, Arcator depends on Bukkit and it's plugins to function which means there is a short wait before we can update our servers.

Bukkit should be ready for use within a week but the plugins could take a little longer due to the fact that they're provided by community members and not the Bukkit team themselves.

While we wait for everything to be ready for use, you'll need to downgrade your Minecraft to 1.4.7 by either not updating or by downloading the minecraft.jar or downgrader.

It works on the three major platforms and is free to use.

Instructions:

- If you are on Windows, press the windows start button and search for "%APPDATA%". Open ".minecraft", go into "bin", and place the downloaded minecraft.jar into that folder, replacing your current minecraft.jar.

- If you are on Mac, open Finder, open your user's files (it is the choice on the left-hand-side of finder that has a house next to it and says your computer's username). In this folder, go to Library>Application Support>minecraft>bin. Replace minecraft.jar in the bin folder with the downloaded minecraft.jar.

- If you are on Linux, open your distros directory browser, find your users home. Make sure you have show hidden folders on. Go into .minecraft, then go into bin. Replace minecraft.jar in the bin folder with the downloaded minecraft.jar.
Run Minecraft.
