Mod Guide

Arcator Mod Guide

The following are guidelines. Not all possible scenarios will be covered here and it’ll often be up to your judgement.

CoreProtect

CoreProtect is an Anti-Griefing plugin that is used to check the data of blocks to see if they have been edited. It has another large feature that enables a person to rollback block changes made by players or entities to prior states. CoreProtect data exists for anything made since the beginning of 2016.

To find who edited a block toggle the inspector.
/co i

To rollback a player (make sure they're a griefer and you typed the name correctly) type the following command.
/co rollback u:(player name) t:999d

Bans

Local banning players:

A local ban
just bans a player from our server and is the safest type of ban.

If a player is breaking the rules, they should either be temp banned, (see below) local banned, or global banned.

It is often up to your own judgement to choose what ban is most appropriate for which situation.

Note:
This does not apply to global bans, global bans MUST follow the official MCBans global ban rules.

Use if unsure whether global or not, then consult a higher ranking staff member

/ban [username] [reason]

e.g
/ban llanocboom Griefing

Global banning players:

A global ban will lower a player’s MCBans reputation as well as banning them from our server.

Lowering a player’s MCBans rep could result in them being banned from other servers.

This type of ban should only be used for serious offenses that comply with the following set of rules

Failure to comply with these rules could result in our server losing rep.

If this happens you will be disciplined and possibly demoted.

/gban [username] [reason]

e.g
/gban llanocboom Griefing

Temp banning players:

For small offenses, including but not limited to –

Minor griefing, disrespect to staff, trolling, spamming.

Most temp ban reasons could be local bans, but if you feel a player should get the chance to stay in the community and not be perma
banned, a temp-ban is the way to go.

/tempban [username] [time] [m/h/d/w] [reason]

e.g
/tempban llanocboom 1 h Spam

This will temp ban llanocboom for 1 hour with the ban reason as “Spam”

Unbanning

/unban [playername]

This will unban the player regardless of type of ban used

Important

After every ban is made, regardless of ban type, you must make a ban post here

NoCheatPlus

NoCheatPlus detects if players are... cheating. Keep in mind that false positives are rather common so don't assume that players with poor internet connections are using hacked clients.

Logblock

Logblock is an Anti-Griefing plugin that is used to check the data of blocks to see if they have been edited. Logblock has another large feature that enables a person to rollback block changes made by players or entities to prior states. Chances are you won't need to use LogBlock since it was disabled at the beginning of 2016.

Basic tools:

There are two different tools to check the data of a block.

/lb toolblock
/lb tool

To rollback a player (make sure they're a griefer and you typed the name correctly) type the following command.
/lb rollback (player name) since 999 day

Admin+ Guide

Using your staff powers to cheat will result in an instant demotion from the staff hierarchy.
