Global Ban Rules

Recently, I went through some of the bans admins have made and I had to change a bunch of them to local, as well as change the reason and change some of them to global.

Here is the deal, you guys, as admins or mods can't continue making these mistakes, I'll be talking to the owners about a punishment if said mistakes are done.

How to make a ban; You ban a user when said user breaks any of the server rules.
Then, you have to decide wether the offence the user made is or not, a valid global ban reason, if not, simply ban the user with no need for strong evidence;

If it does seem a valid global reason do the following:

• Make sure the user broke any of the "Global Ban Rules"
• Then you HAVE to get the user's EXACT username!(with no mistakes or abbrv.)
• After making sure the user did in fact break a global ban rule, and that the username is correct:
  Type the following; /ban (username) g (offence)
• After you ban the user, make sure you get the evidence well documented!

If its grief, logblock the grief, make sure to take at least TWO screen-shots of said logs.
If is any of the other offense make sure you are sure the user commited such offence and take a few screenshots of the action aswell.

Now, you have succesfully banned a griefer (or other), the only thing it's left to do is rollback the user, and make a ban post on the site.

Global Ban Reasons

Global bans are to be used when the user commits a severe rule violation, as this significantly impacts their gameplay. Valid reasons for Global Bans are, but are not limited to:

• Griefing (Destroying items/blocks NOT owned by the user)
• Causing harm to the server
• Hacking (Exploits) - be specific
• X-Ray Modifications (Texture packs or otherwise)
• Racism/Homophobia/Sexism etc.
• Nazi Symbols

Invalid reasons for global bans are, but are not limited to:

• Harassment to users/staff (This can possibly be one sided)
• Spamming ("Spamming" as a reason, is not permitted, please be detailed with this reason)
• Alternate account of ... (Normal servers are NOT permitted to make alternate account bans, unless that account also falls into the valid ban rules category)
• Bans with ANY harassment/foul language (Bans made before October 1st 2011 do not violate this rule)
• "AVO" or other such griefing teams (Please refer users such as these to an MCBans staff member)

PLEASE be able to provide screenshot or log proof for every ban that has been logged in our system. If the user opens an appeal, we *WILL* ask for you to provide us with a link to the proof which you have.

Improper Bans

Improper ban reasons will be cited, and investigated by our highly trained team of Player Support specialists; reasons such as "lol", "f***tard","needs to get a life","griefing mother****er" or "because I said so" will be changed to local bans on sight. When they are changed to a local ban, your server will lose reputation. Any form of foul language in a ban reason will result in the ban being changed to local and the server being penalized. Banning players that have never been on your server before via a Global ban will also result in the ban being changed to Local and the banning server being penalized. "They banned us from their server" (retaliation) is NOT a valid excuse.

Please be aware

Any swearing in global ban reasons will result in the ban being refused and the attempt being logged - The server may end up under review if you submit too many bans with cursing/blacklisted words in them.

IN SHORT: FOLLOW THESE RULES, OR YOU WILL BE DEMOTED AND ARCATOR WILL BE PENALIZED.
