Minecraft 1.3
Well, Minecraft 1.3 is out. Please avoid updating, and if you already have updated, you can install a downgrade.
Instructions to downgrade:
Automatic Downgrade! The most painless downgrade ever!
Download JMAlego's Arcator Minecraft Downgrader. It will automatically detect the version you need to downgrade to in order to play on Arcator, and patch it in for you. For Chrome users, Google might complain that the file is "not usually downloaded" - ignore that, it's virus-free. More info.
- Windows: Download for Windows, and run it.
- Mac OS X: Download for Mac OS X, and run it.
- Linux (most distros): Download for Linux. In order to run it, save it to your computer, open up a terminal, and type the following commands:
cd /path/to/saved/file
python minecraftdowngrade.pyc
Manual Downgrade:
- Download this jar file.
-
- If you are on Windows, press the windows start button and search for "%APPDATA%". Open ".minecraft", go into "bin", and place the downloaded minecraft.jar into that folder, replacing your current minecraft.jar.
- If you are on Mac, open Finder, open your user's files (it is the choice on the left-hand-side of finder that has a house next to it and says your computer's username). In this folder, go to Library>Application Support>minecraft>bin. Replace minecraft.jar in the bin folder with the downloaded minecraft.jar.
- If you are on Linux, open your distros directory browser, find your users home. Make sure you have show hidden folders on. Go into .minecraft, then go into bin. Replace minecraft.jar in the bin folder with the downloaded minecraft.jar.
- Run Minecraft.

Also, replace the link with the one below. The way you're doing it is illegal.

Note: MC3 is currently a Vanilla 1.3 temp map if anyone fancies messing around with the new features included in this update.
