Update to 1.1 Complete

malachy's picture

Upgrades to Minecraft version 1.1 for the two mainstay Arcator servers, MC1 and MC2, have been successfully coordinated by Fela and MalHT.

MC1 had a few issues to begin with related to .jar permissions on the Essentials plugins, which caused roughly 20 extra minutes of downtime. MC2's upgrade was very smooth, necessitating roughly 10 minutes of downtime.

All in all, happy updated Minecrafting.

I'll do it if you give me 6.022 * 10^23 molecules (of which the Mr is probably in the range of tens, for the average constituent chemical - ie. a few tens of grams) of cotton-based paper, formulated into small rectangular pieces and carefully, albeit under a mass-production style routine, fashioned with images of famous British people and some gold-leaf style, decorative holograms. Also, these cotton strips must be formally recognized by the UK government, as possessing a known, arbitrary value for which any commodity could possibly be traded for.

I understood what you were saying lol. Where did you come up with the equation 6.022*10^23?

It's a constant (not an equation); the mole. There are approximately 6.022 * 10^23 atoms of carbon-12 in a pure lump of carbon-12 with a mass of 12 grams, by virtue of carbon-12 having the mass number 12.

I was guessing that cotton paper (what they use to make bank notes) has an average molecular mass (i.e. the sum of the atomic masses of all the different elements in a molecule, the Mr value) measured in the tens. I could be entirely wrong there, however.
