Yeah, that's because they're retarded and got a website-censor instead of a port-block. My school used to have that, then they upgraded their internet, and now we have to log into the internet using our school database username and password (so they know exactly who is doing what). Pretty much every website is unblocked (Reddit, YouTube, FaceBook, etc.; but not porn sites or 4chan), but there are almost no ports open. 25565 is shut, same with 2222, 22, and a vast majority of others.
