Hello fellow staff members. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on this interesting thing I found the other day on MC1. Essentially, there are these thing called plugins for the server that help us do things we normally would not be able to. And Arcator has lots of these plugins. One of these plugins is called LogBlock, and LogBlock is used to log blocks. Nifty huh? Well aside from logging blocks, it also has this other thing that is like sorta important but like not really I guess. It's called rollback. "What? Rollback? That's not even a word silly head! Poppycock! Quit your hogwash and tomfoolery!" Well its real and regardless of its name, its function is to reverse, or roll back, the blocks that were logged by LogBlock. So obviously, it is unimportant and completely useless. Wait, what's that you say? It does have a use? And its actually really important!? WOW I WOULD NEVER HAVE GUESSED CONSIDERING THE FACT NOBODY EVER USES IT. Seriously guys, if you are a mod, admin, admin+ or owner, pleaseeee don't forget to rollback a player after you ban them for griefing of any sort. I consistently find griefs lying around and to my surprise, were done by players that were already banned by us (local and global). So its really important you don't forget to roll them back and undo any damage they did. Please make sure you are banning people correctly and rolling them back correctly. For reference incase anyone forgot, the general commands are:
/lb rollback player [player's_name] time [minutes|hours|days] (use this one for most rollbacks please)
/lb rollback area [radius] time [minutes|hours|days]
/lb rollback playerarea [player's_name] [radius] time [minutes|hours|days]
/lb rollback selection time [minutes|hours|days] (this one rolls back an area selected by world edit)
YEAH AND THIS STILL EXISTS THOUGH IT PROBABLY NEEDS A MINOR REWRITE

I agree with this reminder, but sometimes we don't rollback for enough time or as Bow said, we rollback the area. So mistakes can occur.

Agreed, however when blatant default griefers such as yuriy12 get banned but not rolled back (cough kysanchez cough), it is unacceptable (he's rolled back now btw).

He built a couple houses and the only grief I found by him was in this certain area. I wasn't going to rollback his houses, so I did an area.

Because they're creations made by another user for other players to see and admire the hard work of another...

Houses are different than the many amazing buildings/pixel arts that th3cronick has made.
But sometimes a player was an existing builder and built some cool stuff (maybe with other people), so we can't roll back everything they have ever done. Sometimes and Admin might just RB the area in this case and there may be other bits of the grief left which they didn't find/look carefully enough for.
