Why I should be unbanned:
Hello, I come to you again with the purpose of getting an unban. I have been discussing about Arcator with Dweson and I decided to give my luck another shot. Despite my previous unban request being denied, I believe there is a little love in your hearts. I do remember that there were several of you who believed in me, and for that I am truly thankful. I would like to address all of those who did not believe in me, and please be sure that I have changed and am willing to be an important member of the Arcartorian society. Please dig deep in your hearts, and as the great Fela once said, "If ya have it in you, why not forgive?"
Thank you.
sure why not
I'll take the votes into consideration and then if I need to be a tie-breaker I will make the decision then. I'd like to see some arguments for both sides here.
He seems like he wants to get unbanned really bad, so I vote yes, but if he screws up again, he's perma-banned.
I'm watching you... and your butt

I don't see any reason for brian to be unabanned again. He has had a chance after chance to come back, but it always seems to end out the same.

Exactly. He says he's changed. No, he hasn't, that's what they always say. If he was going to change, he was going to do that after the first two temp bans.
And he's already had an unban request which was, as I remember, denied. It's unfair for him to be reconsidered on a second unban request, when his original one was denied.

Actually, it's very common for people to come back after a while and plead their case again (I believe they have a right to do this until they get unbanned or until they get bored of trying). Obviously, they should wait at least two weeks before creating another one.

Well I still vote no. He's had his chance in my opinion, and he screwed up with it.
I don't understand. I will wire $100 to somebody's PayPal account if they can successfully convince me as to why it's a bad idea to unban someone for the second time. Why is it bad? There is literally no real consequence to anything when it comes to banable offenses. Griefing? Roll it back. Building inappropriate builds? Destroy it. Saying bad words? Who gives a shit. The only time when I would ever even consider keeping somebody banned indefinitely is if I know that every time I unban the person, their first move would be to do something that would get them banned. I just don't see the logistics in not giving brianomarr a chance here. Does it really matter if he was banned once before? I couldn't care less. Worse case scenario = he fucks up, we ban him again, and undo the damage (3 minutes of your time to do so). Every other scenario = make this kid happy to be able to play on a server he enjoys once more and consciously teach him lessons of responsibility. For those denying his unban request, please take into account your own close mindedness and point out any close mindedness on my part, because situations like these really baffle me and I would love assistance in understanding the concepts behind denying some poor guy the ability to have fun socially with friends he can't really get anywhere else (not friends, the ability and experience...).

I'm going to rewrite this in a more general sense (i.e., no "brianomarr", more "people that have already been given a second chance") and have Mal put it on the front page somewhere (or maybe just somewhere where people can see it).

I'm just pissed off because of his constant spamming over the first couple of months after the ban. And I don't want to unban someone that has been giving me a hard time spamming up the IRC and just causing general inconvenience because they're pissed of because they were banned.
Okay I know I spammed and I am truly sorry about it. But the fact is that it's almost impossible to spam anymore. Not only do you need an account, but you need an actual working email to create one (trust me, I had to use my ultra private email to create this account since random emails ain't working anymore). It would be extremely unproductive for me or anyone else to spam.
Please, please, please, trust me when I tell you I will never ever again give trouble to arcator.
He's talking about IRC spam, not website spam.

He ment IRC spam, as you may or may not know you need an account to use IRC on the site. And he doesn't knows other way to get into the channel.

I did not know that.
Sooooo...
Why do you keep on bumping this thread? We can still see it, it's just that no one's replied to it in a while.
Anyway, as for my vote...
I'll vote neutral. Not saying yes and not saying no. If it comes to it then I'll give a deciding vote.
My vote is still a no.
idgas just unban the kid and re-ban him the second he steps out of line. it only takes as much time as it takes to type /ban brianomarr g (Aprox. 3.6 seconds of your time if you type at 50 wpm)
I know im not a Admin or nothing but I know brian irl and when he say's he wont do it again it's really he wont do it again.
Final say_
My vote is still a no. You had your chance to change the multiple times you were temp-banned. Spamming the fuck out of IRC doesn't help either.
My vote is still yes because I'm not an ass.
Guys, trolls are what keep Arcator interesting and alive. Without trolls all we have are a bunch of do-gooders... ITS BANAL AND NOT INTERESTING!!! I say unban.
So... unban?
im gunna say unban. But i know being a mod i dont have a big say.

Again, I vote no.
