Suggestion: Why not use a proper IRC client like X-Chat 2 for Windows, xchat for Linux, or Colloquy for Mac OS X? Connect them to irc.sixteennet.co.uk:6667 with channel #arcatorirc.

Tip: if IRC refuses to load, take these troubleshooting steps until the issue is resolved:

1. If you are using Internet Explorer, use a different browser, such as Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.
2. Reload the page by pressing F5 on your keyboard.
3. Clear your browser's cache (how?).
4. Right click the white void on this page and select 'reload iframe'.

IMPORTANT: How to secure your nickname on IRC:

1. Log on using your nick of choice (e.g. BobBuilder101)
2. Type: /msg NickServ REGISTER your_password your_email
3. Type: /msg NickServ SET SECURE ON
4. Type: /msg NickServ SET KILL QUICK

Now, your nickname is secure and no one will be able to impersonate you. Bear in mind that you will now need to issue this command:

/identify your_chosen_password
