Issues amongst "Staff" ANNOUNCEMENT.
Anyway, being pre-occupied with school-work and other shit, I rarely find myself in-game, i've been in-game the last 4 days, because of 1.0.0, MC2's been running temp maps etc, and of course, I trolled a tad since the maps were temp, and I was fucking around with world generation.
Apparently that's an issue with "Staff".
I've always been one to joke around, and break some small rules just for the hell of it, since no harm done.
Apparently, again, an issue.
I've never been one to be on Senior Staff's case about anything, I let them do as they please, and I join in on occasion, and sometimes I troll them, of course this can be seen in IRC daily, me an Dweson "fag" rule thing that I always break.
--Which I might add is a word I do not use to discriminate against sexuality, in anyway, therefore it's not part of the "Homosexual" slur rule imo.
But none-the-less an issue.
MC2's been somewhat run down with staff not enforcing my rules, and "neglect" on my part.
While i'm first to admit thing went haywire on MC2, I cannot be blamed for things that I told people were rules. EG: No flying unless for strict travel to one point to the other.
But I guess the fact my grandfather died, and that I didn't have time to correct server side issues was my fault right?
Final issue, seems staff feels disrespected.
Well, you should, I feel since the anniversary i've been getting hate and disrespect, so that's what you're gonna get back, until you all straighten out, and start talking to me more directly about your issues, rather then being hipocrits, and talking behind my back, as I usual compare arcator to: We're a company. An last time I checked, you submit your issues to the boss. An in this case, anything reguarding myself, and MC2, i'm the boss, so if you continue to sneak around behind my back, consider yourselves dealing with some problems next time I have 10 minutes to discuss this with Mal, nuff' said.
--Finally, it seems people want MC2 off the network, this no doubt leading back to the stupid "Lets just promote Admin+'s to Owners, hurr durr!". Which I sorted out the issue by stating the own nothing, physical at least, an seeing as Kyle, and Banana, had an issue with that, it seems Kyle's trying to find grounds to attack me on.
Of course I have more reason to back this up the hunches, the fact he continued to prompt I was breaking rules, and that I "Promoted demoted users", I promoted one single user, and that was the week MC2 became part of the network, because he's considered senior staff to myself, just because Kyle dislikes him, isn't a reason for it to become bad after 6 months, let's not forget the "Un-banned banned users". Again, it was just one, and it was because I found the reason stupid, and didn't have the full story at the time, and the user is now re-banned on MC2.
Oh an the fact he cried wolf yesterday: "Everyone should just leave MC2, it's obvious Josh's just gonna kill everyone, so leave if you don't wanna lose your stuff".
His excuse: I saw "NOT MY WOLF", "NOOOOOOO".

So I prompt that we have a user vote, no staff are to vote on this that are Admin, or above, including Owners, and all Senior Staff.
Of course the vote's to gauge MC2's importance among the users who play on it, while figuring out what needs to be done to fix it's current issues, which are put on hold until there's an official bukkit build released.
Oh and of course, I apologize to any staff that feel dis-respected, but I might add, the only person who's talked to me like a normal person is Dweson, and his first language isn't even english.
Though it seems he's tooken to Kyle's side on this situation.
Helzee's been quite easy to talk to about the situation, because unlike some of senior staff, he doesn't have issues with power, and isn't looking to oust me as Owner.

I've let you say the word "fag" since you aparently use it in your dialy language(I always remember you the no homophobic slurs rule though) but what is your explanation about when you called Kyle and me "queers".
Also, I can stand your regular trolling but your trolling on mc2 transformed into griefing. I lost 3 of my bases, all of them to tnt placed by Kieraan and you. Many other people complained about their base being completley destroyed and I don't find that acceptable, at all.
About the "job" thing, I'm tierd of Kieraan and you calling it a Job, we don't get paid for this, we do this because we like to and personally, I have felt that sometimes you tell me I'm not doing my job. (strangely enough I looked into the chat logs and this happened after I enforced the "no homophobic slurs" on you)

Josh, know you are the one blowing this WAY out of proportion. You are making me look like I'm trying to get you removed from fucking Owner. You need to calm the fuck down, and listen to what I have to say, without threatening to demote me every 5 minutes. The Arcator networks are meant to be synced, so that we dont have discrepancies like this. You having Owner doesn't make you protected against the rules. You still can't say Fag, it doesn't matter if you meant it homophobically nor not. Its still a rule that must be followed. Banana worked his ass off so that he could make admin demotions, and ranks have to by synced between servers, so we dont have a person that's mod on one server, and Owner on another. That leaves a huge gap of "What can he do and not do". I'm not trying to go behind you back, and get you demoted, so you don't need to worry about that. But when players are complaining, I have to look into it, its my job. You are continuously calling me out to get my angry, which is the reason it WENT this far. Follow the rules and there wouldn't be anything to fight about. And again, I am done fighting. SO you don't need to make another huge blog post, making me look like I'm overthrowing Owners. I have no problem with you joking around or breaking small rules, but as soon as you start using /nuke and spawning Enderdragons, then some harm is done.

You say this here in such a casual manner, almost as if you're saying, "Yeah, I say fag. Dweson tells me to stop, but I break the rule anyway, just because I feel like it... y'know?" Just because you were given owner doesn't mean you're exempt from the rules. Saying any homophobic slur, whether used in a homophobic context or not, is against the rules.

Imagine if Mal came on the server and said, "Don't grief", but got rid of WorldGuard and LogBlock. You can't expect everyone to listen to your every wish. You can either block flying or allow people to fly completely. I always hear people complaining about how they die from teleport-killing and fly-killing on MC2.

That funeral took one weekend. Many people have been talking about this problem for weeks, so don't act like it's a new issue and you fixed it as soon as you returned from the funeral, because that just makes us seem like dicks.

If you want us to respect you, then you goddamn better respect us. That's like saying, "Every time I hit you in the face, you hit me back. So I'm going to hit you in the face until you stop hitting me back. Once you stop, I'll stop". A better solution to the problem would be to stop hitting the person in the face to begin with.

How does people wanting MC2 off the Arcator network lead back to the promoting Admin+ issue in the slightest? Also, you make it seem like it's just a spur-of-the-moment promotion because we have nothing interesting going on. Mal suggested it because:
- He is focusing on school work more often, and will therefore be playing Minecraft a minimal amount
- Kieraan is MIA
- Jacob is MIA
- You never come on MC1
This promotion is because we have no active owners on MC1. Mal thinks that the people most suitable for this position are a few of the Admin+s.
Final request:
Get your server off the unsupported 1.0 build, right now. It only causes bugs and shit. If you want to run a 1.0 server, run it on a separate port. If Arcator servers have strict requirements such as no-GUI Linux OS, dedicated server, 24/7 uptime, etc., then it should have a requirement that you only use recommended builds of Bukkit.
SK83RJOSH, you are an owner so you need to act like one. I am okay with the occasional joke but when it comes to running a server, especially a survival server, you need to have a certain level of professionalism. Remember what I told you: Be serious at the worst of times, and save the less serious stuff for the best of times. If I am correct, the reason this whole debate started was because you weren't taking Kyle or any admin+ seriously at a time when it was important. When there are nukes going off and enderdragons destroying peoples places then us administrators get worried and naturally will work to fix it. Administrators often look to the owner for help with these matters, having an unprofessional owner or simply an owner that isn't serious enough hurts this administrative system and the quality of the server as a whole.
My Terms:
1. I am okay with having the dev build in place even if it is buggy, just as long as you keep an eye on it and maintain it. Though, when bukkit comes I will expect you, an owner of a survival server, to compensate for the new build and make sure the server is in perfect condition A.S.A.P.
2. Be more serious, in these trying times we need a strong owner who is professional and does his job to his utmost ability
3. BE NICE, in a debate such as this one be the better man. Don't fight fire with fire fight fire with water and find a way to settle it. This includes the use of homophobic remarks against other members, don't worry you can still say your popular phrase "newfag"

The problem isn't that he's using a dev build, the problem is that hardly any plugins have been, or will ever be, updated for the dev build (usually developers don't update their plugins until a recommended build comes out). Josh decided that MCBans wasn't important enough, and continued to use the dev build without it.
Josh I did not say you were gonna kill everyone, and I shouted "MY WOLF!!!" because people were using nuke and that bobs every player online and killed one of my wolves, called Bobby. If you check the grave next to my house (/warp newfeldspen) you will see R.I.P. on it.
(BTW, I would really appreciate if MC2 went back up, Just because we made some mistakes doesnt mean we take down the server.)
I know I have NO say in this, but this looks like things are being way blown out of proportion. We aren't all perfect and lets remember the saying "with great power comes great responsibility". I agree that "fag" is not appropriate and in the position you are in, you must act as a role model, not a whiny child. Respond to my comment if you believe I have made an improper comment I don't want to state something untrue.
