The 1st Annual Arcatorian Hunger games (totally not copyright!)
Sniper, Mdude and I went to see the hunger games on the 24th of march. That gave me an idea. We could have our own hunger games arena, fitted with survival mode. Admins and up could be the gamekeepers, and mods down would be tributes. This is an idea, and Stan's Mockingjay also gave me part of this. If stan hasn't already built an arena near his MJ, This could be a great thing to do.

To set up the whole "if you move early, you go boom", we would have the players stand on a pressure plate to start. If they move, the TNT goes off. When they are supposed to go, an admin will break the redstone connecting it all, destroying the circuit.
In response to Jortog's suggestion, you can ask Kieraan to code a plugin that will have players start at 5 hearts. Also, Kieraan, if you're reading this, make the plugin allow two spawns. One spawn for when a player first starts the game, and another for every time they die. We will set the first-start spawn to inside the arena, and the death-spawn to a platform above the arena that allows you to watch.

.. that was sniperhids suggestion. I think that the players would have to stand in a square surrounded by four pressureplates that trigger the tnt or lava or whatever
hmm, jungle biome good, cornucopia cool, giant glass half-dome? Eeyup. But what about the HG emblem in the dome, and you would need a few squares of pressure plates around the players. Tekkit would be useful for the knives, spears and crossbows, and we would need to leave the items scattered at the start near and around the cornucopia.

I like the idea, I think that maybe the admins+ and owners are the gamekeepers and admins+mods and other people who would like to join the tributes. We could make a big glass hollow sphere arround a jungle biome and the admin+ and owners would be vanished observing and changing the game a bit. 
Yes, we must do this! XD Well, if we are doing a dome, could we maybe do it in the style of the quarter quell? (Second book you know 
) Well, I'll roughly explain that arena... It was a clock, the tail of the cornucopia being midnight/noon. In the areas of one hour, each would hold a unique terror. It was basically all jungle, except for a little circular sea and a beach in the middle. (with the cornucopia on a tiny island in the middle)
Also, thinking up dangers here. Maybe we could have a texture pack for tributes, for invisible pressure pads, setting of hidden dispensers and well, mob eggs, must I say more? Too bad we can't do edible plant life, so you wouldn't be sure if what you were eating was poisonous or not.
Anyways, whatever we do, I'm probably not applying for tribute. I'm the worst at survival, and who wants someone who dies straight away? But I'll be happy just to watch from the side lines!

what about tekkit as well, so that there are knives, blow darts, spears Etc. But, there would need to be a separate Arcatorian HG server if that were the case. We would also need items in chests at the start in the cornucopia. And, what about the "banquet"? Extra supplies (ITS A TRAP)

- You need to upload the picture to imgur or another image hosting platform before putting it here. We cannot see files that are on your computer.
- I hope you're joking about suggesting Tekkit, because about every person has suggested it already.

I actually think it is quite selfish of you to claim the "arcator hunger games". First of all Ad_Man_already_ started a post, and I don't believe that you didn't see it before you made your own. When Banana declared it void you carried on and ignored him, thus breaking a rule. You just butted your way in and took the project for yourself. On a further note, you have been severly inactive and as soon as you came back on you decided, "hurr durr I'm taking da 'unger gamez of ad manz hurr durr. I believe that you should give the project back to Ad_Man.

I have the Hunger Games map (The Survival Games) running on my server. It's the same map from the Survival Games that those YouTuber's did. (captainSparklez, antvennom, ect.) I found out a way to use WorldGuard to make sure nobody cheats. You also will need four groups:
1. Default
2. Player
3. Spectator
4. Host
I don't really wanna type everything out, but if someone wants to know more, then I will. But you basically just make the entire arena one region, and then make sure the Blacklist has all blocks listed in it. (except leaves and mushrooms)
