Hello everyone,
I have come up with a list of content the server should have, and also a plan. This is it:
1) MC2 is to be the server to host on. The owner of MC2 will need to whitelist it to a select few people (me, some mods, admins and up).
2) Server tekkit will be required for all the tools, knives, spears etc. Also, bukkit permissions will be required so that tributes can't launch fireballs or call lightning.
3)Jungle biome will need to expanded and contained in a PORTAL dome, as the portals on MC1 fling anyone away who tries to enter them.
4)Cornucopia and controll rooms need to be built, then the starting pads for tributes. I advise pistons.
5)Chests and traps need to be built, as do structures, and a /setrespawn for when people die. Also, when they die, they can turn people around by scaring them, BUT PHYSICALLY KILLING THEM IS NOT ALLOWED.
6)Organise a set time to host a game! so add people to the whitelist so they can join to play.

That's all. Any other plugins that you deem necessary, add them in. But this is the gameplan for it, and I hope we can start construction soo.

Do svidanye
Satoorzii (Ad_man99) out.
Will someone blog this for me?

I can help out a bunch.

I love building adventure maps and I would really hope that I can help out. I believe you will only need three plugins:

Essentials
EssentialsGroupManager
WorldGuard

WorldGuard is the essential plugin you will need. Once you have the arena built, make the whole arena one big region, with a group 'Player' (or 'Tribute' group, it's up to you) as an owner in the region. This way, you can have a separate group (like Spectator, or Dead) for the people who died, and cannot break any blocks in the arena, or access any chests. Also, to prevent people who have already died from hurting players who are still in the game, do this: In the essentials config file, set 'disable pvp' to true, and then have the group 'Player' have the permission 'essentials.protect.pvp'.

Hope this can be of help!

Ya there is. I run it on my server. But I do think it would be cooler if it could be an original map by Arcator players!

erm... I prefer the official map because its already built, most professional, and has traps

Ya I agree that we probably won't be able to match the awesomeness of the original map.

Worldguard will not be needed, and the control room will be blocked in, but people who die spawn on top of it. They can then fly around and do what they must to Shepard people in, but are not allowed to directly kill them, and teleporting them is not allowed either.

Essentials will be needed for the commands like /smite, /fireball, /kittycannon or any other commands that you deem necessary. Essentials will have everything we need.

Tekkit. This is what the server will have installed as well. As detailed in earlier posts, Tekkit includes more weapons which would be useful so not everyone has a sword.

We also need the map file when it becomes available for download.

But before all that, we need MC2 online and whitelisted so that select people can fix or change a FEW things if we download the map, or we have staff members on to build our own original map.

My first post (scroll up!) says what we need IN the arena, so don't ask me about it anymore unless you have something constructive to add.

Also, will someone lock this thread? The link will tell everything.
