HUNGER GAMES OFFICIAL POST
Okay, I am losing hair over all these Hunger Games posts. So, stop making them! GRAH! This will be the official Hunger Games thread-post-blog. Any new posts will be deleted. Unmercifully. So, yes, a Hunger Games IS planned for the server. But it is in early stages of development. And to clear things up, an Arcator server must be run, AKA MC1, MC2, or MC3, for it to be openly advertised here. If you are caught making your own server and advertising without our consent, you will be banned.
Now that the boring part is over, I guess we can get to the details. Unless I'm mistaken, there is a Hunger Games map, and If I find it, it will be posted here -----> http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic /1181365-pvpsurv-1000-dls-the-minecraft-hunger-games/<-----. If not, we will make one.
Each Arcator server can hold 15 people. MC1 might be able to hold more, but that would include a lot of work from the Owners with SSH, and I'm not sure Fela's opinion on this. MC2 is non-existent, but Kieraan may or may not be allowed to run it for this circumstance. MC3 can hold 15, but anything over it and it will become unplayable.
I'm also unsure of the number of players that want to participate. I've seen a lot of numbers thrown around, so I'll go with 12 to start. If this goes against the book, a logical reason, I'll change it. If you wish to play, post in the comments, and I will host a drawing of everyone who commented, and 12 lucky members will get to play
I've seen the Hunger Games the LP'ers played, and honestly, it was a fail. The Mods towards the end of the game were giving out diamonds sword, EXP, and spawning 100 creepers on people. I don't want that happening again. So, I've decided out of the 10 people, you can choose 1 to support. You will choose one (1) item to give to the player at any point of the games. Start, finish, or never. Its your decision. You can also choose to HURT 1 player as well. If that means distracting them, or throwing an egg or two at them, so be it.
I think this could be a lot of fun if handled the right way. So, lets get started! Also, thanks to Ad_Man99 for the original idea. This post is just to sort through the other posts that have been appearing.

Yeah, I think the staff will get those positions. The Gamekeepers, I think they're called, will hand out the prizes and stuff when the people want you to.
I would like to Play, but I think that once you die, you should become a SPECTATOR ONLY. That means no interferring with other players AT ALL. I feel that if you want a diamond sword, you go out and get it for yourself, no sponsering. There are ways to make sure no one cheats, and I only think it's fair. Plus, you can alliance with people if you want.

Ok so I guess that 1 item would be ok for dead people to give, but I honestly don't think it's fair for people who have already died, to be hurting players who might still have a chance at winning!

It wouldn't be dead players. It's the players that couldn't be part of the Games.

Maybe there could be someone live streaming the event? Then, you can say, "Hey, I want this guy to have something good!" (Not a tribute) If lets say a certain amount of people (Depending on the item) say yes, he get's that. As the game goes on, you need more and more people to say something to get something. This is an idea to make community based sponsors, and to get watchers more involved.
If you REALLY wanted to add to this, before the games, you could have a interview, or something that gives a chance for tributes to promote their image, like in the book. Oh I can just imagine Capitol people in Minecraft... "Wow, that skin is simply amaaaazing!" XD But anyways, it's gamemaker, not gamekeeper. People are getting confused with peacekeepers, which is a whole different story, barely involved in the actual games. (They're like the police of the Capitol, to put it simply, but that's a very brief understatement) But anyways, now that I've finished with my little bit of typing, I have to end of in a fact. Hunger games is awesome. 
I would either be a GameMaker or a Tribute. and i think that we should be able to get into chests, and replace items. If you have watched Utorak play the Game Makers replace stuff into the chests for advantages, such as two diamonds for a diamond sword but no stick, then later on put sticks in the middle chests.

I would like to be a gamekeeper, but depending on the date I might not be able to participate. I also haven't seen the movie but I read the book in 4th grade. In conclusion, I could be the worst possible choice for being a moderator/gamekeeper when it comes to truth to the character and the story and free time. 
pick me only as a last resort. My next 2-3 weekends are booked.
